Yesterday, Loves Park lost John Elliott, a good friend, many knew him as the friendly owner of the Dairy Depot, but he was much more. He was a local business man, a longtime member at Woodward, a long serving volunteer fire fighter and a representative who served on the county board and school board. His presence in our community will be greatly missed. We are all richer for him having crossed our path and his time with us was too short. Our thoughts and prayers are with John and his family.
