Nathan is the Economic Development/Planning Manager for the City of Loves Park. He has been employed by the City since October 2004. As the Economic Development/Planning Manager, Nathan is responsible for:  Economic development planning and management of the City of Loves Park’s economic development programs, long range planning which includes the City of Loves Park Comprehensive Plan and development and management of the City’s capital improvement program (CIP), Nathan oversees the Zoning Officer and Code Enforcement Officer for the City, manages the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS), preforms site plan and plat reviews, and serves as the City’s liaison on a number of regional government boards.

Prior to his employment with the City, Nathan attended and graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in Community and Regional Planning emphasizing in transportation planning. In addition to his planning work for the City, Nathan is involved in regional and state level planning. Nathan is a member of the American Planning Association (APA) and is an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) member since 2009. He is the Region 1 Coordinator for the Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association (IL-APA) since 2013. Regionally, Nathan is a 2013 graduate of the Leadership Rockford program.  Nathan was also a board member and secretary for the River District Association (RDA) from 2013-2017.
