Community Development
The Community Development Department is responsible for all building, planning and economic development functions within the City of Loves Park. This department guides development from the time that property owners decide to develop their property in Loves Park, through the construction phase, and follows the maintenance of properties after buildings are occupied.
Community Development also reviews building permits applications before construction begins to ensure all construction meets our current code. Loves Park building inspectors inspect buildings under construction to make sure they are safe and meet minimum standards. Once buildings are occupied, code enforcement officers make sure all properties are well maintained and conform with the property maintenance code.
Feel free to contact the Community Development Department with any questions regarding these codes or planning issues at (815) 654-5033.
